When the subject of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is concerned, or the increasing prominence of the digital certificate that highlights or proves a particular asset as being unique or one-of-a-kind, people throughout the globe are seemingly divided into two groups, which are either pro-or anti-NFT. Those who belong to the latter highlight, among several other things, their impact on the environment, which is not good. The former, however, point them out as being a novel way to own digital media, with the potential to revolutionize finance.

Considering their novelty factor, much less what they are and the way they function, NFTs might also have a lot of unused potential in the healthcare industry that is unknown. Hence, this article will explore their potential applications and how they can be used to empower patients in this day and age, in the digital era of healthcare.
